We’ve posted Tom Moody’s OptiDisc more than once on this blog and we’ll likely post it again. Back in the day, Moody spoke about how much he liked the GIF’s meme qualities; all sorts of people connected to it and linked to it. He even went so far as to print out all the hotlinks he’d tracked for an exhibition at artMovingProjects. I figured, by this point, its google juice must have worn out, but a google search for the generic term “animated GIF” brought back plenty of results for this image. Likely, that reflects my own searches too, as google’s algorithms know what I look for, but I like to think it also reflects its own enduring qualities.
