It takes quite a bit to slow publishing on this blog to the point where we don’t have anything on the site for two days, but a combination of bed bugs, out of town visitors and family emergencies finally ground this office to halt this week. Posting resumes today, but yeah, this hasn’t been the easiest few days on record.

Graphics Interchange Format will come down tomorrow at Denison University’s Mulberry Gallery, but it lives forever on the web. Time to issue a warm welcome to AFC’s new curatorial fellow Guy Forget. For the next few months, Guy will manage AFC’s featured masthead artists and Art Talk, a new feature in which we invite readers to discuss current New York shows. We’ll be making announcements soon about the launch date of that series so stay tuned for that.

I've reverted comment capabilities back to the old system until I can have a custom system built for the blog later this summer. Intense Debate is not only riddled with spam but commenters saw their comments disappear one by one, as the system started to identify registered accounts as spam.

I’m traveling through Ontario for the next week, which means readers likely won’t hear much from me, but for the occasional July 1st maple leaf image. We’ll see how spending Canada Day in the national capital of Ottawa goes. In the mean time, artist and blogger Tom Moody has graciously agreed to man the ship […]
