ZENITH: Movie Trailer. Watch more top selected videos about: Peter Scanavino, David Thornton

Who wants to see a movie about the scary future? The above trailor for Zenith is hitting my cheeseball meter a little, but I’m recommending it regardless. It’s directed by “anonymous”, a decision I suddenly have a little more interest since running an IMG MGMT essay on the blog written by “anonymous”. Could they be the same person? Unlikely. The film screens October 1st and 2nd at The IFC Center. From the release:

Starting from a fictional recreation of Stanley Milgram's Obedience to Authority experimentZenith plunges into exploring multifaceted dimensions of the human experience. The film follows two parallel stories — of father and son — now, and 40 years into the future. Searching for the same elusive conspiracy, both father and son find no answers; instead, their journeys unravel their lives and force them to look deep and hard at themselves and their surroundings. In the end, they are both confronted with the same Faustian bargain — but each one chooses a very different path.

In other news, those looking to get a film fix earlier than that should consider taking a look at Daniel Kraus’ PROFESSOR this Sunday, a documentary about a Rabbi with a Glock who teaches the children of Iowa. The screening takes place at Union Docs at 322 Union Ave in Brooklyn. Dan Kraus will talk to my former Reeler editor ST Vanairsdale following the movie, so it certainly gets a big recommend from us.
