  • Day 276: When Silent Pandas Attack! | Flickr – Photo Sharing! – A panda bear t-shirt design produced by Jimiyo and AJ Dimarucot for threadless ended up in Rob Pruitt's paintings and people aren't pleased. He's lucky he didn't put that bear on one the shirt's he's selling. I hadn't recognized the design, but the Hitler Kitten room nagged at me for similar reasons. It capitalizes on the work of many without putting material back into the system. It breaks the code of the internet.

Not being an internet-savvy person (I am tone-deaf in one ear, but I won’t reveal which one to people, lest they take advantage of me), I am slightly perplexed by this little piece about pandas (I am also indifferent to the alleged “charm” of the panda — have you ever taken the point of view of the lonely bamboo, which they eat voraciously and without compunction, I wonder?). Does any kind of statistically unusual erotic activity take place in the Hitler Kitten Room, or is this an “in-joke”?
I have one more question — does one need to know a special kind of “categorical imperative” in order to honor, or even understand, the code of the internet? I await some answers, but am in no rush to receive them. Please respond at your leisure. Some call me “Magyar deviant” but others just “friend”
