Two exhibitions worth checking out tonight, the first being BYOB, an exhibition reliant on the projection screen at Spencer Brownstone. Curated by Raphael Rozendaal, the show includes, oh five million net artists. I’m expecting animated gifs.
AGNES BOLT, ARTIE VIERKANT, BILLY RENNEKAMP, BRITTA THIE, BRIAN CLOSE, CALLA HENKEL & MAX PITEGOFF, CHARLES BROSKOSKI, DAMON ZUCCONI, DUNCAN MALASHOCK, DANIEL CHEW, DENA YAGO, HAYLEY SILVERMAN, JEREMY BAILEY, JESSE ENGLAND, JOEL HOLMBERG, JOHN MICHAEL BOLING, JOYCE JORDAN, KARI ALTMANN, KRIST WOOD, MAI UEDA, MARLOUS BORM, MICHELLE CEJA, MIKE RUIZ, RENE ABYTHE, RILEY HARMON, RYDER RIPPS, SARAH WEIS & ARTURO CUBACUB, TOM MOODY, TRAVESS SMALLEY, TRAVIS HALLENBECK, WOJCIECH KOSMA.
Also don’t miss The Social Graph in Bushwick tonight at The Outpost. Curated by Hyperallergic’s Founding Editor Hrag Vartanian, the exhibition explores how contemporary artists are using these new tools. Like any field of art making, there’s a lot of crap out there, but since no one spends as much time using social media as Mr. Vartanian, he’s certainly the one to suss out the good stuff. As it happens, The Sound of Art has also been included in this show. Color me biased.
