We Googled "arts bloggers", and the sun shone
Time to check in on the state of art blogging. Tonight at the Arts Tech meet-up, I’ll be talking about my six-year performance art piece in which I have blogged continuously about art. A couple other bloggers will talk too. On the roster: Hrag Vartanian of Hyperallergic. Vartanian is also tonight’s moderator and the event’s co-organizer with Julia Kaganskiy. Also, Andrew Russeth of Gallerist and Sixteen Miles of String, Carolina Miranda of WNYC and c-monster, and Rebecca Stokes of MoMA’s INSIDE/OUT blog.
I don’t expect the violence and bloodshed of last week’s OWS debate at Flux Factory, but you never know. Rumor has it MoMA blogger Rebecca Stokes has been practicing her arm wrestling techniques, and I’m prepared to take her on.
On that note, I should mention that while tickets sold out in less than two hours last week, those wishing to watch the discussion can still do so on USTREAM at 7:15. No one should miss a minute of this if they don’t want to!
