Haydi Roket didn’t get a mention on my tumblr round up on artnet, but he probably should have. He’s incredibly active. His about page doesn’t tell a user much—it’s a cartoon image of a guy in a helmet in front of a tumblr dashboard—but from this we can assume he’s an internerd. And from the image above we know he’s net art aware. The brand names, the sea punk dolphins, the reference to operating systems—there’s clearly a shared aesthetic here between Roket and sites like Cloaque. This GIFs is a little more contained than most though—it’s almost poster like. Given all the symmetry in this piece, that format makes sense.
