NSFW GIF of the Hump Day: Ryan Harman Fixing Jeff Koons With Gay Porn

by Michael Anthony Farley on July 15, 2015 GIF of the Day + NSFW GIF of the Hump-Day

hump-dayHere at AFC, we find beauty in what many might consider “inappropriate” or “distasteful” or “hard-core pornographic.” Over the past few weeks, we’ve received some complaints that our blog is no longer safe for work…or for coffee shops. Or the library. Sorry. We will no longer post things like the wet dreams of an artificial intelligence to the homepage. Nor will we post not one, not two, but three pages of erotic GIFs in a single week. Nor performance artists exposing themselves in French museums. When you open your laptop in public, you will not have to fear embarrassment from front-page displays of hypnotic butts, nor equally hypnotic GIFs of cats trying to escape from butts.

That doesn’t mean we won’t stop dredging the darkest depths of the perverse human mind and all its splendid visual detritus.

Instead, we’re going to save our most salacious, depraved, NSFW GIFs for Hump Day. Every week, we will repress our urges to google image-search things like “dildo avalanche” until Wednesday. And then, each Wednesday, we will post the above warning GIF  to the homepage along with a description of what one’s virgin eyes might be subjected to “after the jump.”

Click if you dare.

To kick this tradition off, we’re publishing a GIF that even we thought might be too racy for the blog before we came up with this new format. It was sent to us by a kindred spirit named Ryan Harman along with the message “I’m fixing Jeff Koons’ art with gay porn.”

Yes. That is a loop of a rimjob within a particularly tacky Jeff Koons. But what’s really shocking about this GIF—a fact I doubt Mr. Harman could’ve known—is that I know both of the pornstars! They’re somewhat of local celebrities in Baltimore. In fact, the brawny man doing the ass-licking is none other than Colby Keller, a conceptual artist in his own right who was hailed as “The Marina Abramović of Gay Porn” by VICE Magazine. Keller graduated from MICA, my alma mater, and in an especially appropriate twist, brings a Marxist sensibility to both his artwork and, er…day job.

Keller stands as an interesting foil to Jeff Koons (who happens to be another MICA alumnus) and his highly commercial practice. Or, for that matter, Koons’ own infamous representations of his sex life, a la the Made in Heaven series. I’m not sure if this was Harman’s commentary when he compiled this splendid GIF, or if he simply attempted—and succeeded at—”fixing Jeff Koons’ art with gay porn.”
