Applications Now Open for Open Space’s 8th Publications & Multiples Fair

pmf-baltimore-design-schoolThere are few art events that are as fun as Open Space’s Publications & Multiples Fair. The annual PMF brings screenprinters, DIY press, and artists working in a variety of 2D and 3D media to the Baltimore Design School for a weekend-long affair that feels more like your favorite neighbors’ garage sale than an art fair. Check out our highlight’s from last year.

Applications for PMF VIII are open now, and we highly encourage artists/collectives to apply. It’s a super affordable opportunity to network with other groups working in the field, and as a visitor, a great opportunity to pick up some accessibly-priced, high-quality work. In past years, I’ve snagged self-published comics, t-shirts, limited edition prints, and even ceramics. The most I’ve ever “splurged” was about $100—when I walked out with a new tote bag jam-packed with nearly a dozen goodies. That’s not to say artists can’t make a bit of coin here—booths are ultra-affordable, and there’s tons of foot traffic. Mostly though, it’s a great weekend for browsing and meeting people.

Applications close January 31st and the fair takes place April 1st & 2nd, 2017.
