Liz Magic Laser 'I Feel Your Pain' rehearsal at the 7pm showing of 'Contagion' on September 10th, 2011 , 2011
Liz Magic Laser, Current bid: $800
I can’t believe how many great works BAM landed for their Silent Auction. Apparently, I’m not the only one who noticed as their online bidding really reflects it. If this keeps up through Sunday (the auction closes tomorrow at 6pm), the organization is going to bring in a lot of dough.
I don’t have the kind of money I’d need to bid, but as an adept window shopper I figured I’d help a few of our readers out who do. I’ve got picks! Better get shopping now; don’t let these deals get away from you!

BAM Portfolio
I’ve seen this portfolio a couple times in the flesh and it never disappoints. It helps that I love all the artists included. Someone has to pick this thing up: Check it: Anne Collier, Roe Ethridge, Anna Gaskell, Roni Horn, Louise Lawler, An-My Lê, Richard Misrach, Paul Pfeiffer, Matthew Pillsbury, Alec Soth and Carrie Mae Weems. Current bid: $18,000.

Michael Scoggins, "Deadly Fucking Rainbow", 2011
This scrap of piece already has one bid on it, which suggests I’m not the only one taken by this rainbow of death plus pencil scribbles. Collectors; float mount this puppy. Its crumpled-ness is important to understanding the work. Current bid: 2000.

Michael Bilsborough, VVV , 2011
No longer content to drawing grids of men fucking in bathroom stalls, Bilsborough has moved on to painting swimmers. I don’t quite understand why, but this piece seems to get better the longer you look at it. Current bid: $1,200.

Jessica Craig-Martin, Turf 'n' Turf, Child Abuse Benefit, New York, 2008 , 2010
I’ve been staring at this cleavage-steak pairing for a while, and have decided that, yes, it is something I would like to have in my home. No bids on the boobs yet, so collectors might just get a real deal here. Starting bid: 1,800

Lisa Kereszi, "Jesus is Lord (My Grandmother's Lincoln)", PA , 2001
BAM’s yet undiscovered jewel: Lisa Kereszi’s “Jesus is Lord”, a glowing license plate hinged to the front of a Lincoln photograph might be the hidden jewel in this year’s auction. That pic’s perfect for the bedroom folks. Current bid: $1,000

Rob Pruitt, Ice (The Party's Over) , 2010
I’m partial to this piece for obvious reasons; we sold our own Rob Pruitt Ice Bags at the Art Fag City Rob Pruitt Art Awards and Auction* I think this work is the most delightfully absurd use of branding ever. And really, when you think about it, who doesn’t need 20 bags of used Rob Pruitt ice? Starting bid: $2,400

2/5 female to male ratio in your tags? sexist. also the ‘i feel your pain’ image is totally about white women and black men right?
This is a post promoting a NON-PROFIT BENEFIT. If you have a point to make about how gender bias kills creativity do it somewhere else. Skip the Net Art post since that point has already been made and shut down.
