As is our annual tradition, I’ve asked people I know and respect to contribute their single favorite link for the year. No themes. No grand explanations. Just one link, and one sentence describing why they liked it. For the first time ever, this year I received no dupe links. The web is a much larger place than it used to be.
Dior Nights is a music/image “microbrand” run by Jono Mi Lo, AKA. DaytimeTelevision. Jono* and his crew put together mixes for which “eclectic” is too mundane a word – they’re intense, emotional, funny, cosmic. Dior Nights is web surfing music.

Dan Warren’s epic remix of Barack Obama’s audiobook, but maybe not. It definitely is not completely finished/polished, but it feels like the future somehow.

It's been a good year for writing and Evan Osnos's piece about Chinese tour groups in Europe is nearly perfect; insightful, observant, well-researched and at times hilarious. I've sent it to nearly everyone I know.

10 hour playlist. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?p=PL3643A06A0085A400
This YouTube playlist takes all of your favorite video memes and remixes them to a length of 10 hours, for no real reason. Clips include ‘Epic Sax Guy’, ‘Edward Kheil Trololo’, and ‘Nom nom nom’, but if you only watch one, ‘Justin Beiber Getting Shot on CSI for 10 hours’ is an amazing piece of filmwork, on par with Christian Marclay’s ‘The Clock’.
